Mervyn Nel is a South African writer who graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a National Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Psychology. After a long and fulfilling career as a Credit Evaluation Manager in a leading financial organization, he decided to leave the corporate world to pursue his passion for writing. He has written multiple articles published in mainstream magazines. From 2005 to 2012, Mervyn held a contract from Management Education and Training Consultancy (Pty) Ltd. to write short stories, plays and poems for schools where learners (between grades 2 – 12) who did not have English as a home language, wished to be taught in English as a first additional language.
He is presently submitting his latest novel, The Postojna Manuscript. The inspiration behind his novels comes from his travels around the globe. When he is not writing, he can be found pottering around in his garden in Weltevredenpark, South Africa.
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but everyone can start today and make a new ending ~ Maria Robinson ~
